Puerto Banus

Puerto Banus is situated just 6km to the west of San Pedro and is one of the glitziest places to visit for nightlife on the Costa del Sol. Rub shoulders with celebrities, or stroll around the designer shops during the daytime. Sit and people-watch as the luxury yachts moor up in the marina. The beaches and beach clubs are also highly recommended in Puerto Banus and award-winning restaurants line the port.

San Pedro Feria

One of the last ferias of the season, San Pedro Feria takes place for four days from 19 October. Enjoy flamenco shows, live music, fireworks and fairground rides, along with plenty of dancing, wine and tapas. Estepona

Estepona is just a 20 minute drive west of San Pedro and retains much of its original Spanish charm. Explore the cobbled streets of the Old Town and the colourful Plaza de las Flores. Sample the typical tapas, including sumptuous home-made tortillas, marinated anchovies and seafood salad.

Gibraltar

Less than an hour’s drive the imposing Rock of Gibraltar looms over the Mediterranean. Head up the Rock to meet its most famous residents, the Barbary Apes. Take the cable car up for stunning views over the Rock and the sea. Take your time to wander around the shops for some duty-free shopping, and don’t forget your passport!

Historical attractions in San Pedro

San Pedro de Alcantara has its own historical heritage and monuments. If you want to find out more about the old village and the history of the surrounding area then you should visit the Paleochristian Basilica Church, the 3rd century Las Bovedas Roman Baths.

San Pedro enjoys a long golden, sandy beach, backed by a palm lined promenade and some great chiringuitos (beach restaurants).
